We are full time working parents who want to eat healthy and provide nutritious meals to our children no matter how busy we are. Having previously lived in India for twenty years and knowing how healthy Indian food is, we craved for some authentic Indian meal options to consume on a regular or even daily basis. Unfortunately, even with extensive searching, we couldn’t find a meal perfect for all the family that was delicious, nutritious, junk free and convenient. Many Indian ready meals don’t contain the best ingredients, aren’t as safe and suitable as they could be. This frustration led to the establishment of Vamaya to help all of us who want to eat healthy but are way too busy to cook. Indian meal is not just about fiery tikka masala or a greasy curry or pappadoms - we want to smash Indian food stereotypes and introduce it in its true form. Indian food is wholesome and based on the principles of Ayurveda (ancient Indian system of medicine) where food is regarded as natural medicine that brings balance to our body, mind and soul if consumed correctly.
